In a joint statement, the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (Cenco), the Pope’s representative in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the UN Secretary General’s representative in the DRC call on political actors to blame the vandalism of recent days in places of Catholic worship.

The three institutions, through their respective representatives, are deeply concerned about recent attacks on parishes and other Catholic facilities in several parts of the country. Attacks which they claimed were particularly violent in Kinshasa, Haut-Katanga, Kasai-Central and Kasai-Oriental.
